Gustave Eiffel University supports open science
Gustave Eiffel University has signed a protocol with the COUPERIN consortium. Each year, it chooses to provide financial support for one or more initiatives. In 2024, the University is supporting six such initiatives:
- DOAB (Directory of open access books) and OAPEN (Online Library and Publication Platform)
Two directories of peer-reviewed open access books and publishers of open access books.
- DOAJ (Directory of open access journals)
Since its creation in 2003, the DOAJ has been responsible for identifying, reporting and evaluating open access journals. The DOAJ also works with publishers to enable the creation of open access journals that comply with the good practice and quality criteria established and published by the DOAJ.
- Mir@bel
Since its creation in 2009, the Mir@bel network has been an open platform for referencing journals. It contributes to signposting online access to journals, controlling the quality of open metadata and supporting French scientific publishing by helping to raise its profile.
- Sherpa/Romeo (now ‘open policy finder’)
The main online service which brings together and analyses the open access policies of scientific publishers and provides summaries of self-archiving authorisations and rights conditions granted to authors, journal by journal.
- SPARC Europe
Created in 2004, SPARC Europe is a foundation working for the development of open access to scientific information.
