Graduate Program - Doctoral Studies
The Graduate School GP-DS is the winner of the SFRI call for projects "Structuration de la Formation par la Recherche dans les Initiatives d'excellence" (Structuring Training through Research in Excellence Initiatives) from the French National Research Agency (ANR) as part of the France 2030 plan, aimed at institutions with an IdEx or an I-SITE.
It is led by Gustave Eiffel University in collaboration with Paris-Est Créteil University, Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, and CNRS.
The project focuses on guiding students in a research trajectory leading to a doctoral degree.
The objectives of the project
The project aims to support students in a research trajectory leading to a doctoral degree. Various support mechanisms are proposed:
- Transversal teachings enabling an understanding of major scientific challenges.
- Scholarships, both for national students in master's programs at Gustave Eiffel University or co-accredited programs with partner institutions, and for hosting international students.
- Conducting research internships in laboratories, participating in research workshops and/or seminars.
- Implementation of international mobility with foreign academic partners.
- Academic monitoring throughout the program, enabling students to prepare a thesis topic to present before a doctoral school jury.
The Graduate School GP-DS offers four Graduate Programs:
Urban Future: This program covers research topics in urban planning, architecture, environment, geography, history, sociology, and transportation.
Digital Studies and Innovation for Smart-Cities (DIGIS): It emphasizes research and studies related to digital technologies while drawing from various disciplines such as social sciences (sociology, literature, economics, history, management), digital humanities, data analysis, and artificial intelligence.
Bézout – Mathematics and Computer Science: This program specializes in cutting-edge research in mathematics and computer science.
Connected Objects, Devices, and Systems (CODS): This program focuses on electronics and (micro)communicative sensors.
